Baking cookies together is an amazing family tradition anyone can do! Do you have a favorite cookie to eat or bake? This cookie isn’t something you bake, but it will still be a lot of fun to decorate. Holiday cookies were eaten beginning in the Middle Ages, that’s over 500 years ago! Gingerbread cookies became associated with the holidays because Queen Elizabeth I, had these cookies made for herself and guests.

DIRECTIONS

STEP1 Draw an outline for your gingerbread person.
STEP 2 Cut out your gingerbread person.
STEP 3 Take your cotton balls and begin pulling them apart gently.
STEP 4 You can use the pulled cotton balls as icing on your gingerbread person.
STEP 5 Glue on your googly eyes.
STEP 6 Add a bow, bowtie, and/or a belt to your gingerbread person using the ribbon!
STEP 7 Decorate your cookie however you want!

Directions:

Prep: Heat up the hot glue gun

Step 1: Remove the lid from the jar and glue figurine to the lid, (the side that faces in)

Step 2: Decorate the lid with other materials if you would like (this is not required to complete the craft)

Step 3: Fill the empty jar with water and add a tablespoon of baby oil (amount of oil can vary depending on size of the jar) leaving some room (for the liquid displaced by the figurine)
