Please note: our Member Only Preview Event was your last chance to receive your member number prior to the initial sale date for tickets to our Touch-a-Truck fundraiser. Without a member number, members will be unable to purchase discounted tickets to Touch-a-Truck presented by M&T Bank.

Regardless of our opening date, all new membership packages purchased prior to our museum’s opening will be active from June 1, 2019 to June 31, 2020.

I bought my Membership online before the grand opening at Canalside. How do I redeem my Membership?

Following your purchase, your name was added to our membership database. On your first visit to the Museum, please present your photo ID to a front desk staff member. Our staff will be able to look up your purchase, and produce your membership cards for a full year of play. Please note: your membership is valid June 1, 2019 – May 31, 2020. We welcome you to join us at the museum before the date of initiation during our “Member Only Preview Days.”

I received a Membership as a gift before the grand opening at Canalside. How do I redeem my gift voucher?

Either you or the individual who gifted you a membership should have received a membership voucher following the purchase online. On your first visit to the Museum, please present your photo ID and membership voucher to a front desk staff member. What do I do if I purchased a gift membership, but have not yet received a Membership Voucher in the mail, or have misplaced my Membership Voucher?

What do I do if I cannot attend the “Member Only Preview Days?”

We’re sorry to have missed you! Your membership is valid June 1, 2019 – May 31, 2020. If you choose to visit us at another time prior to June 1, 2019, you will be expected to pay full admission. We also welcome you to visit our front desk during this visit to receive your membership cards – making your next visit an easier one.

What happened to the GrandPlay Membership?

Our new Membership categories are designed to be more inclusive. Our Family Membership + Designated Caregiver membership package is now available to accommodate one additional caregiver per membership. The Designated Caregiver will receive an additional membership card with their own name and address, and will be authorized to accompany those children.

I want to upgrade my membership. What do I do?

You may upgrade your membership to include an additional Designated Caregiver and/or ACM Membership at any time, for $25 per upgrade. Please inquire at the admission desk when visiting the museum. Please note: your membership expiration date will remain the same.

What do you mean by “up to 6 in the household?”

Our membership levels are designed to be inclusive of every family. Our Family Membership includes up to two adults (age 18 and over) and up to 4 children living in the same household. Additional family members living in the same household can be added for $25.00 each.

What if I forgot my Membership Card?

Members must show a valid membership card and one additional form of ID with a matching address to gain free admission to Explore & More. If you forgot your membership card, you can either pay the regular admission fee, or request a new card. Reprint will incur a $5.00 processing fee and the original card will be cancelled.

Why do I need to provide an additional form of ID every time I visit?

The member named on the membership card must provide additional ID with a matching address when visiting the museum. We require an additional form of ID to help provide a more secure environment and to protect the value of your membership. Should your card ever get lost or stolen, ID prevents abuse and misuse.

What if I do not have an additional form of ID?

Without an additional form of ID, you will be asked to pay the regular admission fee.

I’ve lost my membership card. What do I do?

Please contact the membership office by phone at (716)655-5131 ext. 14 or email memberships@exploreandmore.org, or stop by the admission desk to request a new card. Reprints will incur a $5.00 processing fee and the original card will be cancelled.

My spouse will never visit. Can I name someone else in their place?

You may if the other adult lives in the same household. If the adult lives outside the member household, you will need to upgrade your membership to the Family Membership + Designated Caregiver.

What forms of additional ID are acceptable?

We will accept any form of photo ID with a matching name and address.

I am a caregiver for a museum member. What do I need to visit the museum?

A caregiver must present their member Designated Caregiver card along with an additional form of ID with a matching address.

What if I’d like to change one of the names listed on my membership?

We can update your membership record and issue new cards, as long as the new person on your membership resides in the member household. Your old cards must be returned to the museum before new cards can be issued. Reprints will incur a $5.00 processing fee and the original card will be cancelled.

How do I update my contact information?

Reprints will incur a $5.00 processing fee and the original card will be cancelled. We will update your record accordingly. My child will be visiting with another family. Can they still use their membership?

Your child will need to provide a valid membership card. The child’s membership card only provide admission for the member child.
