Let Explore & More – The Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Children’s Museum bring the fun to you with our outreach programming!

With hands-on, play based lessons your students, campers and visitors will have so much fun they won’t even realize that our lessons support NYS and Next Generation curriculum standards. You provide the kids, we provide the fun! Explore & More will provide you with all the materials you need.

All of our outreach programs are offered as either in-person or virtual, be sure to indicate which you would prefer on the form below.

Storytime Art Explorers

Art Explorer’s Storytime takes your students on an adventure through famous children’s literature to discuss topics such as friendship, community, imagination, sharing and so much more! Each lesson consists of a guided read-aloud from an Explore & More educator and a facilitated activity to dive deeper into the story. These lessons help to build literacy, fine motor, social-emotional and daily living skills.

Mini Golf

Mini Golf explores the engineering process while creating your own themed mini golf hole! Once this project is done, classmates will have a chance to play through the entire mini golf course that their fellow students built!

Invention Exchange

In our Invention exchange series we will explore the different steps in the invention process all while inventing new things! Each class will focus more in-depth on a particular step in the process and result in a newly built invention. These classes can be booked as a residency series or stand-alone program.

STEM Problem Solvers!

When it comes to mysterious problems, no one can figure it out better than Western New York scientists. In this class students will learn about different mysteries that WNY scientists had to figure out by using problem solving. Along the way students will work step by step through different science experiments.

Ages:  3rd-5th Grade (Ages 8-11)
