The Wheels On the Bus

Our ongoing gratitude to the Niagara Frontier Automobile Dealers Association for their 10-year commitment to providing free buses to Title 1 schools so these students can come visit our current and future location. The 2018 installment of this incredibly generous and thoughtful $270,100 gift given over 10 years was presented at the Buffalo Auto Show, removing a critical obstacle to schools across our region! Thank you NFADA!

March to Membership

It’s time to play!

Explore & More Children’s Museum thanks all of our members for keeping the laughter and learning going since 1994. It’s because of our wonderful community of playful minds and explorers of all ages that we are able to keep growing to new heights – and new spaces!

Due to strong interest in maintaining ongoing memberships at Explore & More, we are continuing to offer membership plans which will be accepted through March 31st, 2019 at our East Aurora location.

Even with the big changes to come, all big laughs are being accounted for. Our growing family can’t wait to continue laughing and learning with yours.

Let’s Keep the Conversation Going (& Growing)

You’ve heard the rumors on the playground – Explore & More Children’s Museum is growing! We are underway with our biggest change yet as we get ready to open a new place of play at the heart of Buffalo’s Canalside.

As we change, grow and go to new heights of playing and learning, it’s important that we hear from you, too. As parents, caregivers, guardians and fellow explorers, you know how special your little ones are and the unique ways that they interact, learn and more. That’s why we want to keep the conversations going. Explore & More is proud to be hosting two separate focus group sessions that get down to what truly matters: our community of little explorers.

Our ‘How We Play’ group will help us determine the best exhibits and spots in our Museum. Combining your experiences in our current exhibits with an introduction to each new one we have in the works, you can help us determine all the things that you love – and could love more – for the fun that’s still to come.

Our second group, ‘How They Learn,’ allows us to ask the questions of how your own child likes to play and how you, as the caregiver, can sense their learning frameworks. We’re all in this together, and the more voices are heard, the better we can help support and teach developing little minds.

We invite you to join in on either conversation – or both! To sign up, email [email protected] with the specific group or groups you’d like to attend for more information and times.

Welcome, Michelle!

Explore & More Children’s Museum is proud to welcome our newest member, Michelle Urbanczyk, to the fun!

In the early fall of last year, we set out to find a new CEO for our growing Museum. The goal was to find a passionate and strategic leader, who also had a strong business background that would help us to deliver an even more immersive learning experience through play.

We were so excited to find this person in Michelle.

As she takes the lead of inspiring and encouraging our children and families all across Western New York, she’ll be using past experiences and expertise to help guide her momentum. Michelle is a seasoned leader across a wide array of experiences and disciplines, which most recently include being the President of EPIC – Every Person Influences Children, following a previous role as Director of Development with the Buffalo Society of Natural Sciences.

Michelle has a true passion for finding the joy – and purpose – in play. As acting CEO, she will help guide the Museum, along with its growing community, to new heights as we aim to bring laughter and learning to children all across our region.

We can’t wait for you all to get to know our newest teammate and leader – and we know she’s excited to meet you, too! We are so looking forward to growing with Michelle as we embark on our biggest adventures yet at Canalside.

Field trips are back! Please be aware that it will be busier than usual.
