Making lap blankets for Veterans Hospital
Making cards for Veterans
Gratefully accepting donations of travel-size toiletries for active duty troops
Scout chorus singing patriotic songs
Free admission for Veterans and families of active duty personnel with proper I.D. on 11/11 & 11/12. All toiletries gathered at this event will be donated to the Deployed Service Members of the 914th from the Niagara Falls Airbase.
While our Veterans Day activities are midday, the Museum will be open from 10am – 5pm for a full day of play!

When it’s too cold to play outside, come play inside with fun gym activities at Explore & More to work the wiggles out all winter long! Join us for Let’s Get Physical brought to us by BlueCross BlueShield of Western New York the first and third Saturday of each month from 11am – 2pm November 3rd through March 17th!
Explore & More first presented this program in 2009 and it has steadily grown since its inception. The program incorporates numerous physical education techniques and movement-centric play tools including games, music, Imagination Playground as so much more!
We are excited to announce that JumpBunch will be back with us again for the 2018-2019 Let’s Get Physical season. JumpBunch will be here to play on the first Saturday of each month providing carefully structured, age-appropriate activities that are fun and beneficial! These activities are designed to sharpen physical skills, make sports fun, and build healthy habits. Children will engage in a wide variety of activities to help get them moving.
On the third Saturday of each month, visitors will engage in gross motor play with our Imagination Playground, sports equipment, and scooters! Children of all ages will incorporate creativity into physical activity while building with Imagination Playground. By incorporating sporting equipment, we are also encouraging group and rules based play into gross motor skill development. Our visitors have so much fun burning energy they don’t even realize they are learning!
Don’t just take our word for it that Let’s Get Physical is a great way to spend the afternoon, listen to what our visitors have to say! 85% of families surveyed said that they were more active during the program than they would have been if they did not attend. 90% responded that they would continue to be more active in the coming weeks. And 99% of families surveyed said they would come back to another Let’s Get Physical!

The holidays are a time to spend with family and loved ones, and there’s no better way to continue those Thanksgiving celebrations than by spending the day together at Explore & More! Gather the whole family for a special day of learning, playing and fun-filled activities at the Museum with Family Fun Day brought to us by Independent Health.
This Black Friday have the children come make a holiday gift, free with admission or membership. On Friday, November 23rd from 11am – 2pm, children of all ages and their caregivers are invited to join us for a hands-on art project of designing snow globes to celebrate the holiday season! This activity is designed to extend the experiential learning of our Museum exhibits into a take-home art project that you and your family can continue to enjoy.
With our hands-on snow globe activity, children will develop and improve their fine motor skills as they engage in manipulative, exploratory play – all while utilizing their scientific thinking in terms of measurements and number operations. And, each child will leave with a distinct work of art that expresses their personal interest, which only reinforces their sense of personality and wonder.
While our special activity only lasts through the early afternoon, the Museum will be open from 10am-5pm for a full day of fun! Don’t forget to stop by the front desk and renew your membership or purchase a gift membership for a loved one for only $40 valid in East Aurora through March 30, 2019.
