Dan’s STEM Corner: Artemis Moon Mission

3…2…1…Blast Off!! Right now, NASA is working on getting astronauts back to the Moon. The first mission involves sending an uncrewed spaceship to the Moon and back.  Following that the next step involves sending a crew to orbit the moon and then come back to Earth. Finally on the third step humans will land on the moon for the first time since 1972.  What’s crucial about this landing is, the first female and the first person of color will step foot on the moon during this mission. The entire mission is called Artemis, which in mythology is Apollo’s twin sister. The uncrewed mission is set to launch March 12, so be on the lookout!

Field trips are back! Please be aware that it will be busier than usual.
