“Drawing Without Paper” Mobile Workshop

Today marks the 107th birthday of Gego (Gertrud Goldschmidt), a German-born artist who spent most of her career in Venezuela. To celebrate her practice of “drawing without paper,” we’ll construct our own colorful mobiles out of wire and other artistic materials and play with the shadows they cast as they move against light.  Recommended for ages  5-12. “Henna Hands” Cookie Decorating

Help us celebrate Eid by learning about the different traditions and styles of henna design. Together, we’ll bake hand-shaped cookies and decorate them with icing, practicing our new knowledge of henna patterns!  This class is recommended for ages 5-12.

The Great Indian Festival

Happy Indian Independence Day! Celebrating together, we will read stories and make crafts inspired by Indian culture and learn a Bollywood style dance.
