The Museum is open Wednesday – Saturday from 10:00am – 5:00pm and on Sunday from 12:00pm – 5:00pm. The first Friday of every month the Museum is open from 10:00am – 8:00pm. We are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, except for select school holidays. Check the website calendar for these special openings.
Explore & More Children’s Museum, the exhibits, and restrooms are all wheelchair and stroller accessible.
There are changing tables in both the men’s and women’s restrooms. The restrooms are marked with the symbol to the left. We request that you use these designated areas for changing and not Museum exhibit space.
Yes. Children need to be accompanied by an adult at all times. Children may not be left unattended in the Museum or in the restrooms.
Explore & More offers nine different play zones. You and your children will determine how long you stay during a single visit, but an average visit lasts 1 ½ – 3 hours. Consider purchasing a membership to enjoy the Museum all year long!
The exhibits are designed to engage ages birth to 10. Our programming, especially during family fun weeks over school breaks, will interest all ages.
Visitors are welcome to bring their own food into the Museum and enjoy it in our snack area. We ask that you do not have food and drink out on the exhibit floor, only in our designated snack room. There are vending machines in the building for snacks and drinks, and small snacks only available for purchase at the admissions desk of Explore & More. If you wish to leave the Museum for lunch, please provide you receipt for admission back into the Museum later the same day.
In order to receive the discounted group rate, groups of 10 or more paying people must pre-registered. If you have a group larger than 36 children, you will need to make a reservation for a Monday or Tuesday. Please see our Group Visit page for more information about reserving time for your group.
Yes, you are welcome to nurse in the Museum! We do not have a private nursing area. You are welcome to sit in our snack room or one of the many benches throughout the Museum or hallway.
Our exhibits are thoroughly cleaned on a regular basis, yet we cannot guarantee that Explore & More is an allergy-free institution.
To ensure the safety of our visitors, the door must remain open at all times.
Yes, guests are welcome to take photos in the Museum.
Yes, service animals are allowed in the Museum.
Explore & More is a place where children play to learn and adults learn to play again. Through hands-on experimentation and interactions at our exhibits with each other, you’ll both have a great time!
Admission is always FREE to members. Non-members admission is $7.00 per person (children and adults) and free for children under the age of 1. Families in WIC or Arts Access are free with ID and card.

Any guest with a membership card with a valid Association of Children’s Museum logo on the card will receive 50% off admission for up to 6 people to Explore & More.
Members must show a valid membership card and one additional form of ID with a matching address to gain free admission to Explore & More. If you forgot your membership card you can either pay the $7/person admission fee, or request a new card. We will issue only 1 replacement card annually per membership. Reprints will incur a $5 processing fee.
The member named on the membership card must provide additional ID with a matching address when visiting the Museum. We require an additional form of ID to help provide a more secure environment and to protect the value of your membership. Should your card ever get lost or stolen, ID prevents abuse and misuse.
We will accept any form of ID with a matching address. A driver’s license is the easiest and most common form of ID.
The first time you don’t have an additional form of ID we will punch your membership card and allow you admission to the Museum. The second time, you will be asked to pay the regular $7/person admission fee.

A membership may be set up for one or two adults who reside in the member household. If only one adult lives in the household, only that adult may be listed on the membership. If you bring adults who live outside of the member household often, consider the FamilyPlay + Add a Guest membership level. This allows you to bring one guest free of charge each time you visit.
You may if the other adult lives in the member household. If the adult lives outside the member household, you will need the FamilyPlay + Add a Guest membership level to receive free admission.
A caregiver must have the member Caregiver card along with an additional form of ID with a matching address to the member household. A utility bill or other official mailing is acceptable.
Please contact the membership office at (716) 655-5131 x20, email@example.com, or stop by the admission desk at the museum with your new contact information. We will update your record accordingly. Your old cards must be returned to the Museum before new cards can be issued.
Your child will need to provide a valid membership card. The child’s membership card only provides admission for the member child.
There are many restaurants and shops in East Aurora and you can also visit Hamlin Park. For more details please check with our museum staff during your visit.
Explore & More is growing! The Museum has been planning a major expansion and move to Canalside on the Buffalo Waterfront for the past few years. We anticipate opening there in 2018. At that time, the East Aurora location will close.
Yes, as long as you stay within our guidelines of up to 18 children and 36 total people. We encourage you to pick one theme that they would both enjoy.
Yes, extra food and drinks can be brought for your party. There is no alcohol allowed.
You may arrive 15 minutes prior to the start time of your party. The party room will already be decorated and a host or hostess will be there to help you with any additional set up.
Yes, please check with the floor manager to arrange a time that they can be dropped off. We do not allow streamers or decorations to be hung on our walls.

No, the party is for 12 children and 10 adults.
We know this can be limiting, but these numbers are strictly enforced. We allow no more than 18 children and 36 people total per birthday party. If you think you will have a larger party, we suggest looking for a larger venue with a bigger room to rent.
Yes. However, membership does entitle you to an overall party discount.
Yes. Parties are separate events from museum visits.
