What happened to the GrandPlay Membership?

Our Family Membership + Designated Caregiver membership upgrade is now available to accommodate a wider variety of caregivers within a family unit – including, but not limited to – grandparents, aunts, uncles, adult siblings, and nannies.  Designated Caregivers will receive their own membership card and will be authorized to accompany any children included in that family’s membership. This upgrade is available at any time for only $25.  Designated Caregiver upgrades are limited to one per membership. Please visit our museum admissions desk or email memberships@exploreandmore.org for more details.

I want to upgrade my membership. What do I do?

You may upgrade your membership at any time to include a Designated Caregiver for $25 (Designated Caregiver upgrades are limited to one per membership), and/or upgrade to an ACM Reciprocal Membership for $25 per family. Please inquire at the admission desk when visiting the museum. Please note: your membership expiration date will remain the same.

We have more than 4 children residing in our household. Can I add more children to our Family Membership?

Yes! Our membership levels are designed to be inclusive of every family. Our Family Membership includes up to 2 adults (18 years and older) with up to 6 people total, all living in the same household.  Additional children living in the same household can be added for $25 each.

What if I forgot my Membership Card?

Members must show a valid membership card and one additional form of ID with a matching address to gain free admission to Explore & More. If you forgot your membership card, you can either pay the regular admission fee, or request a new card. Reprint will incur a $5 processing fee and the original card will be cancelled.

Why do I need to provide an additional form of ID every time I visit?

We require an additional form of ID to help provide a more secure environment and to protect the value of your membership. Should your card ever get lost or stolen, ID prevents abuse and misuse.

What if I do not have an additional form of ID?

Without an additional form of ID, you will be asked to pay the regular admission fee.

I’ve lost my membership card. What do I do?

Please contact the membership office by calling (716) 655 – 5131 ext.14 or emailing memberships@exploreandmore.org, or stop by the admission desk to request a new card. Reprints will incur a $5 processing fee and the original card will be cancelled.

My spouse will never visit. Can I name someone else in their place?

Any two adults living in the same households – regardless of their relationship to one another – may be listed as the two primary household members in a Family Membership. If the second adult lives outside the primary member household, you will need to upgrade your membership to the Family Membership + Designated Caregiver.  Your Designated Caregivers (limited to one Designated Caregiver per membership) will receive their own membership card and will be authorized to accompany any children included in that family’s membership.

What forms of additional ID are acceptable?

We will accept any form of photo ID with a matching name and address.

I am a caregiver for a museum member. What do I need to visit the museum?

A caregiver must present their member Designated Caregiver Membership card along with an additional form of photo ID with a matching address.  If that caregiving is not a Designated Caregiver on the family’s membership account, that individual will be required to pay the full price admission fee.

What if I would like to change one of the names listed on my membership?

We can upgrade your membership to add additional family members and caregivers at any time. Old membership cards must be returned to the museum before new cards can be issued. Reprints will incur a $5 processing fee and the original card will be cancelled.

Please contact the membership office by calling (716) 655 – 5131 ext.14 or emailing memberships@exploreandmore.org for more information.

How do I update my contact information?

Please contact the membership office by phone at (716) 655 – 5131 ext. 14 or email, memberships@exploreandmore.org, or stop by the admission desk to request changes.

My child will be visiting with another family. Can they still use our family’s membership?

Unfortunately, no.  Technically, only the household adults and/or Designated Caregiver listed on the Family Membership account are members of the museum, and must therefore accompany the children for their child’s membership to be valid.  For safety and privacy purposes, our museum will not keep a record of childrens’ names in either our database or on membership cards. Children visiting with adults from outside of their Family Membership unit will be required to pay the full price admission fee.

Members receive a $30 birthday party discount. Can my friends and extended family use my membership discount for their birthday parties?

To receive the $30 member discount, the named member must be hosting the event. Both the rental deposit and additional payments must be received from the named member. Only current members will receive the discount.
