Museum Hours
Open For Play: Wednesday-Sunday: 10am-4pm
Members Only: Wednesday-Sunday: 9:30am-10am
Closed: Monday and Tuesday
The museum is closed on the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day (Monday and Tuesday), Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
There may be additional closures due to severe weather. Check Explore & More’s social media channels and local news outlets for updates on delays and closings.

Waterway Days

Join us in Moving Water as we learn about the Erie Canalway and the surrounding waterways which have crafted Buffalo and the Western New York region into the wonderful place that it is today! These programs will vary in topic, and subject matter, ranging from arts and crafts to social studies exploration, perfect for ages 3-10 and their caregiver!
Children will use our massive map to learn about the Erie Canalway as well as the State of New York. We will write on the map using markers and use 3D printed items to help demonstrate the history of the canalway!
