The museum is closed on the following holidays: Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.

‘Leaf’ it to Fall for Fun

When school’s out, we’re here to help working families with fun and educational programs for school-age kids! Explore & More’s Study & Play Program brings learning and fun together—and the best part? The fun, inspiring activities we have planned will help kids take a breather from screen time, while still having a blast. Join us as we get moving and grooving with Kidding Around Yoga! This class will include yoga poses, lively music to move to, storytelling, mindfulness activities, and some playful breathing exercises. We help children build their potential by encouraging them to choose their own learning activities, work in groups, and stay active by exploring the exhibits in the museum. Spaces are limited, so sign up today!

Explore & More’s Study & Play programs are offered on designated school holidays and school break weeks. Our programs are led by our professional Educators. Programming is for children in grades 1-4 with a drop-off at 8:30 am and a pick-up at 4:00 pm. We are a New York State Office of Child & Family Services licensed and regulated School Age Child Care program. Fun, hands-on experiences will spark creativity, imagination, and exploration as students participate in planned thematic academic activities and venture throughout the museum to play and learn in the exhibits.

In the event that schools are forced to close, causing a remote school schedule or schools go into a hybrid teaching model during the Covid-19 Pandemic, Explore & More will offer full day, full week Study & Play programming at the museum.
