Museum Hours
Open For Play: Wednesday-Sunday: 10am-4pm
Members Only: Wednesday-Sunday: 9:30am-10am
Closed: Monday and Tuesday
The museum is closed on the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day (Monday and Tuesday), Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
There may be additional closures due to severe weather. Check Explore & More’s social media channels and local news outlets for updates on delays and closings.

Grandparents Day
September 11, 2022 @ 10:30 am - 3:30 pm
Bring your grandparent to play day! We will have fun activities for all family members to enjoy throughout the museum. Guests will receive one free admission per grandparent for every paid child.

Grandparents Day Special Studio Activities, presented by HSBC:
- Art Studio (11am – 3pm): Stop by the Art Studio to create a cute canvas tote bag that is as unique and as special as your grandparent.
- Cooking Galley (11:30 – 1:30pm): Use frosting and sprinkles to decorate a heart shaped cookie. This is a sweet way to spend time with our grandparents.
- Tinkering Tank (12pm – 2pm): Join us in the Tinkering Tank to design a mobile that will spin in the wind for your grandparent.
- Storytime (Times announced throughout the day): Enjoy grandparent-themed stories read by a play to learn facilitator in the Treehouse on the 4th Floor
