This month Explore & More will be celebrating the achievements of Black Americans, as we celebrate Black History Month across the museum. We will have multitudes of programming in our studio spaces dedicated to African American Achievement, STEM pioneers will be honored in the Tinkering Tank, as the likes of Mae Jemison, and George Washington Carver will be a part of programming. The Art Studio will showcase black artists and their impact, as individuals such as Alma Thomas and Gordon Parks will be highlighted. Be on the lookout for our partnership with Dynamic Drum Arts of WNY as they showcase traditional African drumming. We also will be writing letters to black history heroes, and these postcards will be displayed proudly!
