Museum Hours
Open For Play: Wednesday-Sunday: 10am-4pm
Members Only: Wednesday-Sunday: 9:30am-10am
Closed: Monday and Tuesday
The museum is closed on the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day (Monday and Tuesday), Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
There may be additional closures due to severe weather. Check Explore & More’s social media channels and local news outlets for updates on delays and closings.
Canalside Children’s Book Festival
June 29 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
Calling all bookworms! Join us for the inaugural Children’s Book Festival on the Pierce Lawn at Canalside on Saturday, June 29th from 10:00am-2:00pm.
Explore & More will be open from 10am-4pm.
Highlights of the free outdoor Children’s Book Festival:
- FREE Celery Book for the first 300 children
- Book vendors and community tabling
- Buffalo & Erie County Public Library book mobile on-site at 10:00am
- Partake in different crafts and activities with Explore & More, EPIC, Barb’s Book Buddies, Mari Fox Wellness, and Making Waves Art Studio!
- Camp out at the Big Blue Adirondack chair for special programming such as yoga, mindful movement activities, a kindness dance, a meet & greet with Celery, special book readings, and more!
- Free lawn games
- Bookmark giveaways courtesy of Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield
