2024 Holiday Hours:
The museum is closed on the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day (Monday and Tuesday), Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

There may be additional closures due to severe weather. Check Explore & More’s social media channels and local news outlets for updates on delays and closings.

Super Sunday: Back to School Family Fun Day

Join us for our monthly Super Sunday!  This month, we're helping families prepare for the upcoming school year, with tons of fun and engaging activities throughout the museum - including free backpacks loaded with school supplies, while supplies last! Museum admission on this extra-special day is $15 general admission / $4 for members.

Macramé Workshop

Come learn all about the art of macramé and make your very own keychain to take home! In this hands-on workshop, instructor Nadeen Yousef (from Macramé by Nadeen at the West Side Bazaar) will explain traditional macramé practices and teach participants to execute basic designs.  This class is recommended for ages 5-12.

Books, Balls, & Blocks

If you have a child between the ages of 4 months and 6 years, join us for this wonderful FREE event. Fun activities are offered for children including, games, art activities, interactive stories, and more! Parents will be provided with fun activities to do at home. ChiquiBomba Drum & Dance

This fun drum and dance session will get families moving to Bomba and Plena rhythms from Puerto Rico. Led by Beatriz Flores, Director of El Batey Dance Center in Buffalo.  This class is recommended for ages 4-10.
