Indigenous People’s Day
October 8, 2018 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm
Explore & More is open Monday, Oct. 8th from 10-5 with special programs celebrating Indigenous People’s Day from 11-2. Seneca and Native Roots Artists Guild Member Samantha Jacobs will bring a strawberry activity as strawberries are extremely important in Native Culture as a symbol of blessing and thanks. A touch table of various Native American artifacts including pottery, furs, pelts, corn husk dolls and sage will also be displayed along with a craft activity using stamps of Native American symbols hand crafted specifically for Explore & More. Come play!
