About our camps

Explore & More’s school-age day camp programs are offered on select designated school holidays and school break weeks. Our programs are led by our professional Educators. We are licensed and regulated by New York State Office of Child & Family Services. Fun, hands-on experiences will spark creativity, imagination, and exploration. Children will participate in planned STEAM and academic-based activities and venture to play throughout the museum.

Camps fill up quickly and spaces are limited, so reserve your child’s spot today! If a program is full, call us at 716-655-5131 ext. 3 or email education@exploreandmore.org to be added to a waitlist.

Health & Well-Being Protocols

Explore & More Day Camps will follow all OCFS and CDC guidelines for safe play.
I understand, Explore & More requires the following:

Provide a form for parents to fill out authorizing who is allowed to pick up your child. Please note all people picking up campers will need to show an ID.
All campers should wear socks and sneakers, as well as play clothes daily.
Your child will not be allowed to attend camp if they have COVID-19 symptoms, including a temperature above 100.4 degrees.
Parents will drop off and pick up children at the First Floor Security Desk. Only those adults that are on the Authorized Pick Up Sheet and provide a picture ID will be allowed to pick up children.
Museum staff will be implementing periodic hand washing throughout the day.
We will not serve any food, including snacks. We will maintain a designated lunch time, allow for snack breaks, and facilitate hand washing and social distancing during all mealtimes. Please make sure to pack a lunch, snack, and water bottle for your camper (no refrigeration available).
Only campers, staff, and volunteers will be permitted in classrooms.
Museum staff will be sanitizing exhibits in between each group.

Camp Policies

Our Camps follow New York State Health Department, NYS OCFS Regulations, and CDC guidelines. Pre-registration is required, NO WALK-INS. Camp is 8:30 am-4:00 pm, unless otherwise noted in the program descriptions. Per our museum policies, upon entry to the museum, you have consented to having the museum use your and/or your child’s image for marketing purposes, this includes summer campers. Campers will need to provide lunch, two snacks and a water bottle (unless otherwise noted). Please note: Timeframes for Half-Day Camps differ from other camps. Campers for these camps do not need a lunch however please provide a snack and a water bottle for your child daily.

Day Camp: Fall Into Fun

Calling all fun-loving campers! Our Fall into Fun Camp will be full of non-stop fun fall-themed activities. There will be time for crafts, STEM, and exclusive access to the museum in the morning! Be ready to explore pumpkins, leaves, apples, and all things fall.

Celebrate all things Buffalo, from history to weather and football to food! This will be a day jam packed with fun, including a themed STEM, History, and Art lesson. At sign in, campers will have exclusive play time in the museum!

Learn about different animals every day at Explore & More! Campers will use their imaginations and explore the world of animals. Anyone can cook! Send your little chef to Explore and More’s Day Camp on October 13, where we’ll have fun with food! We’ll practice chopping, spreading, measuring, and pouring. There will be plenty of time for STEM, art, and museum play.
