passport to the world club

We are thrilled to partner with local organizations to introduce The Passport to the World Club; a multicultural cooking program for youth (ages 8-15) who reside in the City of Buffalo and neighboring communities.  This program will provide a unique opportunity for children and teens to participate in free online Zoom cooking classes, and receive recipes, local fresh produce, and groceries so they can learn how to prepare international dishes and travel the world through their taste buds. Youth who do not have access to the internet or a computer will be able to participate in each weekly cooking class on Saturdays at 11 a.m. on the local CW channel.

Students will be taught how to measure ingredients and read recipes and food labels. They will also learn about the importance of good nutrition, geography, language and culture. Videos will cover cooking terms, review of kitchen tools, safety tips, dietary alternatives and more. The educational curriculum also includes a passport workbook, weekly cultural & culinary newsletters, and a health & wellness journal.
