Explore & More has planned a day of storytelling, crafts, and educational activities all focused on celebrating Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s life and teachings of diversity, equality, freedom, and resistance.
As the presenting sponsor for Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day’s educational activities at Explore & More, BankOnBuffalo is contributing to the admission fee for everyone coming to the museum on Saturday, January 27, resulting in a savings of 38% off the regular non-member admission fee, which will be just $5.

In recognition of the National Day of Service on January 15, which also commemorates Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Explore & More and BankOnBuffalo have partnered to launch the collection of needed winter clothing items, particularly winter coats and jackets for the adults and families residing at Gerard Place, for the fifth consecutive year.
Collection bins are set up at all BankOnBuffalo branches and will be set up in the museum through February 23 for those wishing to donate new and unused winter clothing like jackets, blankets, hats, and gloves for adults and children in need at Gerard Place.
Items can also be donated via Amazon’s Wish List.“BankOnBuffalo is proud to partner once again with Explore & More in honoring the spirit and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.,” said Michael Noah, BankOnBuffalo president. “The winter clothing drive that benefits so many of our neighbors who are served by the great team at Gerard Place is an initiative that is very important to the bank, as is our collaboration with the museum on its activities in celebration of Dr. King’s legacy.”Gerard Place has been providing housing since 2000 for homeless, single parents and their families and empowering those parents through education, employment, vocational training, life skills classes and counseling.
“Last year Gerard Place served over 10,000 hot meals. In the line were many people in need of coats. Again this year we are so grateful to BankOnBuffalo and Explore & More, who will help ensure that no one in Buffalo will go without a coat this winter,” said David Zapfel, CEO/President of Gerard Place.
