Field Trips

Field Trips

Engage eager learners during a hands-on field trip to Explore & More. Our immersive play zones were designed with your group’s needs, curriculum, and interests in mind. Groups of 10 or more paying visitors with advance reservation will receive a group rate.

Dates and times fill up quickly, so book early! The fastest way to request your group visit is to fill out the form at the bottom of this page. We will contact you as quickly as possible to confirm your field trip and discuss the details of your visit. Should individuals in your group have special needs that require support or accommodations, please let us know at the time of booking.

Field Trip Guide

Included in your field trip:

  • Your class will enjoy two full hours of play and exploration in our seven fully interactive and accessible play zones
  • Group rate admission of $10 per person (one adult per every five children is free) is due at time of admittance. Pricing effective 2024-25 school year.
  • Free admission for required aids, nurses, and therapists.

Explore & More is dedicated to welcoming everyone. To help make your visit as enjoyable and engaging as possible, we have developed customized visual, social, communicative, sensory, and behavioral supports. Please contact our Access and Inclusion Specialist, education@exploreandmore.org or inquire upon reservation if you have any questions, concerns or specific requirements. Supports such as our Sensory Backpack program are available at the front desk upon check in.

Lunches

Our Gathering Room can accommodate up to 30 visitors.  Title I schools are allowed to bring in bagged lunches with special arrangements made with staff at the time of reservation.  A cleaning fee will be assessed. Room reservation is required. If you are interested in having lunch at the museum, please specify when speaking with a bookings coordinator.

Free Buses

Thanks to the generous sponsorship from our friends at the Niagara Frontier Automobile Dealers Association (NFADA), Explore & More is able to offer up to $300 toward the bus cost for groups who visit Explore & More from qualifying schools. Call 716-655-5131 today to find out more!

Group and Workshop Policies

  • Only one payment will be accepted per group reservation.
  • Dates & times requested are subject to availability.
  • A 5:1 child to adult ratio is recommended.  Prior to arrival, we suggest that you assign each adult to a small group of children for whom they will facilitate learning. Ideal group sizes are between 5 to 10 students.
  • In the event of a school closing, weather event, or natural disaster, reservations will be transferred to the next available date.
  • Museum membership does not qualify towards group admission.

Food and Beverages

Explore & More does not provide a space for picnic lunches. Groups are encouraged to find locations to enjoy lunch at nearby parks or public areas (Canalside) if the lunchroom area is not available to reserve. Bagged lunches are allowed with a reservation.  A cleaning fee will be assessed.

Bus Parking

Bus parking is not provided. Bus drop-off information will be provided during your booking confirmation based on your group’s needs. Public parking lots, ramps, and street parking are located throughout Canalside. Click here for Canalside parking information.

PLEASE NOTE: This form is merely a request for a date, and not an official reservation of a group visit. Reservations are not complete until the date has been cleared on the phone with a museum staff member. Two weeks advance notice is required. We will reply to your inquiry within 5 business days.
