Our 6th Birthday Celebration
June 29 @ 11:00 am – 3:00 pm
Party like a 6 year old as we commemorate our 6th year at Canalside! Don’t miss our Birthday Celebration presented by the Rich Family Foundation from June 25-29.
Each day, take part in fun activities that you’d see at a 6-year-old child’s birthday – from pixels to princesses!
We have a special perk for anyone who is 6 years old or turning 6 in 2025…free admission during the birthday celebration courtesy of Pediatric Urgent Care of WNY! Six year olds must have proof of age (such as a report card) and be accompanied by a full-paying, non-discounted adult. Offer is not valid on birthday parties and school/community groups.
The museum will be open 10am-4pm on June 25, June 26, June 27 and June 28, and from 11am-3pm on June 29.

June 27
11am-1pm Outside:
Free Play Fridays are back! Join us for some fun in the sun on the Pierce Lawn at Canalside each Friday through August 29 (except July 4) for great play experiences including soccer and obstacle courses – weather permitting. Registration is not required. Free Play Fridays are sponsored by Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield, Wegmans, and the Project Play WNY Summer Free Play Series. Barb’s Book Buddies will join us for special story times on June 27.
Milk For Health will also be bringing baby cows outside for the return of Cows at Canalside.
1pm-4pm Inside the Museum:
We’ll have a special visit from some princesses!
June 28
Build & Play Jr. Workshop presented by Valu Home Centers: Make a custom race car in the Tinkering Tank from 11am-2pm (or while supplies last).
June 29
All guests can enjoy $6 admission thanks to KeyBank. Use code BIRTHDAY when purchasing tickets in advance!
Stop by the Canalside Children’s Book Festival outside the museum from 10am-1pm. Cows at Canalside will also be on the lawn.
