Museum Hours
Open For Play: Wednesday-Sunday: 10am-4pm
Members Only: Wednesday-Sunday: 9:30am-10am
Closed: Monday and Tuesday
The museum is closed on the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day (Monday and Tuesday), Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
There may be additional closures due to severe weather. Check Explore & More’s social media channels and local news outlets for updates on delays and closings.

Holidays Around the World – Countdown to 2022!

Shake off the winter blues and learn more about various holiday celebrations around the world, such as Hanukkah, Christmas, Saint Lucia Day, Kwanzaa, and Saint Nicholas Day while having great fun doing so! Fun, hands-on experiences will spark creativity, imagination, and exploration as school-agers venture throughout the museum to play and learn in the exhibits. We have a jam-packed week of fun. Join us for a Meet & Greet with Santa, Holiday Sing Along/Parade, African Dancers/Drummers, Cooking Experiences and Gingerbread Houses, Face Painters, Storytelling by B is for Books, and Holiday “Fit-mas” (Yoga). In addition, on December 31st, we will Countdown to 2022 by providing face painting, a DJ-led dance party and a few ball drops to kick off and conclude the year-ending party. Spaces are limited, so register today!

Explore & More’s Study & Play programs are offered on designated school holidays and school break weeks. Our programs are led by our professional Educators. Programming is for children in grades 1-4 with a drop-off at 8:30 am and a pick-up at 4:00 pm. We are a New York State Office of Child & Family Services licensed and regulated School Age Child Care program. Fun, hands-on experiences will spark creativity, imagination, and exploration as students participate in planned thematic academic activities and venture throughout the museum to play and learn in the exhibits.

Food, snacks and drinks not provided.
In the event that schools are forced to close, causing a remote school schedule or schools go into a hybrid teaching model during the Covid-19 Pandemic, Explore & More will offer full day, full week Study & Play programming at the museum.
