Museum Hours
Open For Play: Wednesday-Sunday: 10am-4pm
Members Only: Wednesday-Sunday: 9:30am-10am
Closed: Monday and Tuesday
The museum is closed on the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day (Monday and Tuesday), Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
There may be additional closures due to severe weather. Check Explore & More’s social media channels and local news outlets for updates on delays and closings.

Drop & Shop

The Friday after Thanksgiving is typically a day full of special shopping deals and heavy discounts and is considered the beginning of the holiday shopping season. If you plan to take on the holiday crowds and are looking for a fun child care option for your kids, look no further. Explore & More will keep your children exploring and learning while you get down to business! Of course, even if you’re not planning to shop but have other items on your agenda (lunch with friends? a day at the spa? getting the holiday decorating done? You get the picture!) your kids are welcome to spend the day with old friends and new at the museum. Children will make holiday crafts, decorate their own gingerbread house, play games and we are excited to provide a special story-time with Santa!

Explore & More’s Study & Play programs are offered on designated school holidays and school break weeks. Our programs are led by our professional Educators. Programming is for children in grades 1-4 with a drop-off at 8:30 am and a pick-up at 4:00 pm. We are a New York State Office of Child & Family Services licensed and regulated School Age Child Care program. Fun, hands-on experiences will spark creativity, imagination, and exploration as students participate in planned thematic academic activities and venture throughout the museum to play and learn in the exhibits.

Food, snacks and drinks not provided.
In the event that schools are forced to close, causing a remote school schedule or schools go into a hybrid teaching model during the Covid-19 Pandemic, Explore & More will offer full day, full week Study & Play programming at the museum.
