Harvest Party

No school? No problem! Bring your school-age children to Explore & More on Monday, October 11th for a full day of play from 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM! Your children will participate in a jam-packed day of animal discovery and fall-themed fun to celebrate the changing of the seasons both indoors playing and learning in the museum exhibits and outdoors at Canalside. Each child will decorate their own pumpkin to take home to put on display. We will also have music, storytelling, fall crafts.  Plus, thanks to Milk for Health we’ll make our very own pumpkin butter, play with calves, baby pigs, and other small farm friends and make crafts at the Dairy Station!

Explore & More’s Study & Play programs are offered on designated school holidays and school break weeks. Our programs are led by our professional Educators. Programming is for children in grades 1-4 with a drop-off at 8:30 am and a pick-up at 4:00 pm. We are a New York State Office of Child & Family Services licensed and regulated School Age Child Care program. Fun, hands-on experiences will spark creativity, imagination, and exploration as students participate in planned thematic academic activities and venture throughout the museum to play and learn in the exhibits.

Food, snacks and drinks not provided. 

In the event that schools are forced to close, causing a remote school schedule or schools go into a hybrid teaching model during the Covid-19 Pandemic, Explore & More will offer full day, full week Study & Play programming at the museum.
