These classes are designed for ages 1-5 to help support the developmental needs of young children through play! We have enhanced safety measures throughout the museum including limited capacity to ensure everyone is staying safe. Space is filling up fast so reserve your seat today.

-Toddler Time (18 months-3 years old)

Time
Toddler Time is a 1-hour program for our little ones ages 18 months up to three years, giving them and their caregiver the opportunity to play, learn and grow! The program includes museum exploration, circle time (including story time, counting practice, weather identification etc.), fine/gross motor development lessons and a take home art project. Each month there is a focused theme with changing weekly topics that fit within that theme. Some monthly themes include:
- Earth Day Fun!
- Do the Bunny Hop!
- Not-So-Spooky Toddler Time
- Jingle Bell Jam Literacy
- STEMtastic

Saturday, January 18: all Things That Go!
9AM-10AM
Beep beep! I hear the sounds of cars, trucks and even trains!
Your little one will enjoy this Toddler Time class as we explore and learn all about modes of transportation.
We will even have some fun in the Delta Sonic Car Wash and play with boats in our Moving Water exhibit. Circle time, a story, and songs will all be part of the fun!
Saturday, FEBRUARY 15: FAMILY LOVE

Join us as we celebrate our family and friends with a special heart craft. We’ll also get our hearts pumping with some exciting gross motor skills and fun in the museum!
Saturday, March 15: Barnyard boogie!

This fun Toddler Time is all about farm animals! Join us as we practice colors, try some animal sounds and jam to a fun beat with musical instruments. An amooosing cow craft and story time will complete this class. Boogie on over!
Saturday, April 12: Do The Bunny Hop!
9AM-10AM
Hop on over to Explore & More for some eggcellent activities for your toddler! An egg hunt, a cute craft, egg scooping and more will be part of this exciting class. We’ll even add in some Earth Day learning!
Saturday, May 10: Opposite Day

We will explore opposites in this month’s Toddler Time: up/down, in/out, big/little to name just a few! Storytime, a craft and hands on learning will all be a part of this engaging time together!
Saturday, June 14: Summer Fun For Everyone

Who’s ready for some sand, water play and beach ball fun? These activities and more will all be a part of this Toddler Time as we get ready for summer in Buffalo!

Take learning to another level with monthly activities for preschool students (ages 3-5 years old) to participate in a facilitated 1-hour program targeted to develop skills essential for Kindergarten success. Play &
Learn
Join us for a playgroup style pre-K class for diverse little learners and their parents/caregivers. This FREE class will meet the needs of children who benefit from a multi-sensory, flexible learning approach, and adapted materials. Children will have the opportunity to play in the museum at a quieter, sensory friendly time. Themed child centered activities will be provided that focus on social-emotional, pre-academic, communication, and motor skills. Parents will have the opportunity to connect with each other in a supportive environment. We will also provide follow up activities for home and advocacy resources.
